   Whereas the Board of Directors of the Freshwater Fish Marketing Corporation has authorized John Wood, director of the Corporation, to act as President of the Corporation, effective March 11, 2016;

   And whereas the person so authorized by the Board may not act as President for a period exceeding 60 days without the approval of the Governor in Council;

   Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Fisheries and Oceans,

(a)  pursuant to subsection 5(2) of the Freshwater Fish Marketing Act, approves the decision of the Board of Directors of the Corporation to authorize John Wood of Sarnia, Ontario, director of the Corporation, to act as President of the Freshwater Fish Marketing Corporation, effective May 10, 2016, until he is no longer required to act as President of the Corporation; and

(b)  pursuant to subsection 6(1) of the Act, fixes his remuneration, which is within the per diem range ($770 - $905), and certain conditions of his employment as set out in the annexed schedule, for the period beginning on March 11, 2016, until he is no longer required to act as President of the Corporation.

   Attendu que le conseil d’administration de l’Office de commercialisation du poisson d’eau douce a autorisé John Wood, administrateur de l’Office, à assurer, à titre intérimaire, le poste de président de l’Office, à compter du 11 mars 2016,

   Attendu que la durée de l’intérim est, sauf dérogation approuvée par le gouverneur en conseil, limitée à soixante jours,

   À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre des Pêches et des Océans, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil :

a)  en vertu du paragraphe 5(2) de la Loi sur la commercialisation du poisson d’eau douce, approuve la décision du conseil d’administration de l’Office de commercialisation du poisson d’eau douce d’autoriser John Wood, de Sarnia (Ontario), administrateur de l’Office, à exercer la présidence de l’Office, afin d’assurer l’intérim à compter du 10 mai 2016, jusqu’à ce qu’il ne soit plus nécessaire pour lui d’agir à titre de président de l’Office;

b)  en vertu du paragraphe 6(1) de la Loi, fixe sa rémunération et certaines conditions d’emploi conformément à l’annexe ci-jointe, lequel traitement se situe dans l’échelle de taux journaliers (770 $ - 905 $), pour la période commençant le 11 mars 2016 et se poursuivant jusqu’à ce qu’il ne soit plus nécessaire pour lui d’agir à titre de président de l’Office.
