Whereas New Brunswick requested financial assistance from the federal government on April 13, 2015, in respect of the provincial emergency referred to in the annexed Order;

 

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, pursuant to paragraphs 7(c) and (d) of the Emergency Management Act, makes the annexed Provincial Emergency Financial Assistance Order No. 184.


 

Attendu que le Nouveau-Brunswick a présenté une demande d’aide financière au gouvernement fédéral le 13 avril 2015 à l’égard de l’urgence provinciale visée par le décret ci-après,

 

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de la Sécurité publique et de la Protection civile et en vertu des alinéas 7 c) et d) de la Loi sur la gestion des urgences, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil prend le Décret no 184 sur l’aide financière à l’égard d’une urgence provinciale, ci-après.

 


PROVINCIAL EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE ORDER NO. 184

 

DECLARATION

1. The following provincial emergency is declared to be of concern to the federal government, namely, the heavy rainfall and flooding that occurred in the Province of New-Brunswick from December 9, 2014 to December 12, 2014, which mainly affected the eastern part of the province, specifically the counties of Albert, Gloucester, Kent, Kings, Northumberland, Queens, Westmorland, and York.

AUTHORIZATION

 2. The Minister is authorized to provide financial assistance under paragraph 4(1)(j) of the Emergency Management Act to the Province of New Brunswick in respect of the provincial emergency referred to in section 1.


 

DÉCRET No 184 SUR L’AIDE FINANCIÈRE

À L’ÉGARD D’UNE URGENCE PROVINCIALE

 

DÉCLARATION

1. Il est déclaré que l’urgence provinciale ci-après constitue un sujet de préoccupation pour le gouvernement fédéral : les pluies abondantes et les inondations survenues dans la Province du Nouveau-Brunswick du 9 au 12 décembre 2014 ayant principalement affecté le secteur est de la province, spécifiquement les comtés d’Albert, Gloucester, Kent, Kings, Northumberland, Queens, Westmorland et York.

AUTORISATION

 2. Le ministre est autorisé à fournir, au titre de l’alinéa 4(1) j) de la Loi sur la gestion des urgences, une aide financière à la Province du Nouveau-Brunswick à l’égard de l’urgence provinciale visée à l’article 1.
