   Whereas section 12 of the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety Act provides that if the President of the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety is absent or incapacitated or the office of President is vacant, the Council of the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety may authorize an officer of the Centre to act as President;

   And whereas section 12 of that Act specifies that no person so authorized may act as President for a period exceeding 60 days without the approval of the Governor in Council;

   Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Labour, pursuant to section 12 of the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety Act, approves the Council’s decision to authorize Gareth William Jones of Toronto, Ontario, to act as President of the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety for a term of one year, effective May 31, 2016, or until a President is appointed.

   Attendu que l’article 12 de la Loi sur le Centre canadien d’hygiène et de sécurité au travail prévoit qu’en cas d’absence ou d’empêchement du président du Centre canadien d’hygiène et de sécurité au travail ou de vacance de son poste, le conseil peut autoriser un des dirigeants du Centre à assurer l’intérim;

   Attendu que l’article 12 de cette loi prévoit que l’intérim ne peut dépasser soixante jours sans l’approbation du gouverneur en conseil;
