His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, authorizes:

(a) the Prime Minister or the Minister of Foreign Affairs to sign, on behalf of the Government of Canada, subject to ratification, the Paris Agreement under the United Nations Framework on Climate Change; or

(b) the Minister of Foreign Affairs to execute and issue an Instrument of Full Powers authorizing the Honourable Catherine McKenna, Minister of Environment, or Marc-André Blanchard, Ambassador and Permanent Representative Designate of Canada to the United Nations, or Michael Grant, Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative of Canada to the United Nations, to sign, on behalf of the Government of Canada, subject to ratification, the Paris Agreement under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.

Sur recommandation du ministre des Affaires étrangères, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil autorise :

a) soit le premier ministre ou le ministre des Affaires étrangères à signer, au nom du gouvernement du Canada, sous réserve de ratification, l’Accord de Paris adopté en vertu de la Convention-cadre des Nations Unies sur les changements climatique;

b) soit le ministre des Affaires étrangères à signer et à délivrer un instrument de pleins pouvoirs autorisant l’honorable Catherine McKenna, ministre de l’Environnement, ou Marc-André Blanchard, Ambassadeur et Représentant permanent désigné du Canada auprès des Nations Unies, ou Michael Grant, Ambassadeur et Représentant adjoint permanent du Canada auprès des Nations Unies à signer, au nom du gouvernement du Canada, sous réserve de ratification, l’Accord de Paris adopté en vertu de la Convention-cadre des Nations Unies sur les changements climatique.
