Whereas the Administrator of the Government of Ontario, the Honourable George R. Strathy, Chief Justice of Ontario, will be unable to act on February 29, 2016, from March 11 to March 13, 2016, inclusive, and on March 21, 2016, and it is therefore necessary that another person be appointed Administrator for those periods;

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Canadian Heritage, pursuant to section 67 of the Constitution Act, 1867,

(a) terminates the appointment of the Honourable George R. Strathy as Administrator of the Government of Ontario, effective February 29, 2016;

(b) appoints the Honourable Heather J. Smith to be Administrator of the Government of Ontario, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective February 29, 2016;

(c) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Heather J. Smith as Administrator of the Government of Ontario, effective March 1, 2016;

(d) appoints the Honourable George R. Strathy to be Administrator of the Government of Ontario, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective March 1, 2016;

(e) terminates the appointment of the Honourable George R. Strathy as Administrator of the Government of Ontario, effective March 11, 2016;

(f) appoints the Honourable Heather J. Smith to be Administrator of the Government of Ontario, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective March 11, 2016;

(g) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Heather J. Smith as Administrator of the Government of Ontario, effective March 14, 2016;

(h) appoints the Honourable George R. Strathy to be Administrator of the Government of Ontario, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective March 14, 2016;

(i) terminates the appointment of the Honourable George R. Strathy as Administrator of the Government of Ontario, effective March 21, 2016;

(j) appoints the Honourable Heather J. Smith to be Administrator of the Government of Ontario, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective March 21, 2016;

(k) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Heather J. Smith as Administrator of the Government of Ontario, effective March 22, 2016; and

(l) appoints the Honourable George R. Strathy to be Administrator of the Government of Ontario, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective March 22, 2016.

Attendu que l’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario, l’honorable George R. Strathy, juge en chef de l’Ontario, ne sera pas en mesure de remplir ses fonctions le 29 février 2016, du 11 au 13 mars 2016 et le 21 mars 2016 et qu’il est donc nécessaire qu’une autre personne soit nommée administrateur pour ces périodes,

À ces causes, sur recommandation de la ministre du Patrimoine canadien et en vertu de l’article 67 de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil :

a) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable George R. Strathy au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario, avec prise d’effet le 29 février 2016;

b) nomme l’honorable Heather J. Smith à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario afin qu’elle remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur de l’Ontario durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 29 février 2016;

c) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable Heather J. Smith au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario, avec prise d’effet le 1^er mars 2016;

d) nomme l’honorable George R. Strathy à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur de l’Ontario durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 1^er mars 2016;

e) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable George R. Strathy au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario, avec prise d’effet le 11 mars 2016;

f) nomme l’honorable Heather J. Smith à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario afin qu’elle remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur de l’Ontario durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 11 mars 2016;

g) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable Heather J. Smith au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario, avec prise d’effet le 14 mars 2016;

h) nomme l’honorable George R. Strathy à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur de l’Ontario durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 14 mars 2016;

i) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable George R. Strathy au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario, avec prise d’effet le 21 mars 2016;

j) nomme l’honorable Heather J. Smith à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario afin qu’elle remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur de l’Ontario durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 21 mars 2016;

k) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable Heather J. Smith au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario, avec prise d’effet le 22 mars 2016;

l) nomme l’honorable George R. Strathy à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur de l’Ontario durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 22 mars 2016.
