Whereas the Administrator of the Government of Manitoba, the Honourable Richard J. Chartier, Chief Justice of Manitoba, will be unable to act from January 17 to January 20, 2016, inclusive, and January 26 to February 10, 2016, inclusive, and it is therefore necessary that other persons be appointed Administrator for those periods;

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Canadian Heritage, pursuant to section 67 of the Constitution Act, 1867, 

(a) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Richard J. Chartier as Administrator of the Government of Manitoba, effective January 17, 2016;

(b) appoints the Honourable Shane I. Perlmutter to be Administrator of the Government of Manitoba, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Manitoba during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective January 17, 2016;

(c) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Shane I. Perlmutter as Administrator of the Government of Manitoba, effective January 21, 2016;

(d) appoints the Honourable Richard J. Chartier to be Administrator of the Government of Manitoba, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Manitoba during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective January 21, 2016;

(e) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Richard J. Chartier as Administrator of the Government of Manitoba, effective January 26, 2016;

(f) appoints the Honourable Glenn D. Joyal to be Administrator of the Government of Manitoba, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Manitoba during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective January 26, 2016;

(g) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Glenn D. Joyal as Administrator of the Government of Manitoba, effective February 11, 2016; and

(h) appoints the Honourable Richard J. Chartier to be Administrator of the Government of Manitoba, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Manitoba during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective February 11, 2016.

Attendu que l’administrateur du gouvernement du Manitoba, l’honorable Richard J. Chartier, juge en chef du Manitoba, ne sera pas en mesure de remplir ses fonctions du 17 au 20 janvier 2016 et du 26 janvier au 10 février 2016 et qu’il est donc nécessaire que d’autres personnes soient nommées administrateurs pour ces périodes,

À ces causes, sur recommandation de la ministre du Patrimoine canadien et en vertu de l’article 67 de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil :

a) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable Richard J. Chartier au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement du Manitoba, avec prise d’effet le 17 janvier 2016;

b) nomme l’honorable Shane I. Perlmutter à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement du Manitoba afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur du Manitoba durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 17 janvier 2016;

c) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable Shane I. Perlmutter au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement du Manitoba, avec prise d’effet le 21 janvier 2016;

d) nomme l’honorable Richard J. Chartier à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement du Manitoba afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur du Manitoba durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 21 janvier 2016;

e) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable Richard J. Chartier au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement du Manitoba, avec prise d’effet le 26 janvier 2016;

f) nomme l’honorable Glenn D. Joyal à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement du Manitoba afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur du Manitoba durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 26 janvier 2016;

g) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable Glenn D. Joyal au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement du Manitoba, avec prise d’effet le 11 février 2016;

h) nomme l’honorable Richard J. Chartier à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement du Manitoba afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur du Manitoba durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 11 février 2016.
