Whereas the Honourable Edward C. Chiasson, a Judge of the Court of Appeal for British Columbia, will attain the age of seventy-five years on December 11, 2015, and, therefore, will cease to hold office on that date under the provisions of subsection 99(2) of the Constitution Act, 1867;

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, pursuant to subsection 42(2) of the Judges Act, grants to the Honourable Edward C. Chiasson an annuity of $189,274.67 to commence on December 11, 2015, and to continue during his life.

Attendu que l’honorable Edward C. Chiasson, juge de la Cour d’appel de la Colombie-Britannique, atteindra l’âge de soixante-quinze ans le 11 décembre 2015 et que, en conséquence, il cessera d’occuper son poste à cette date en vertu du paragraphe 99(2) de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867;

À ces causes, sur recommandation de la ministre de la Justice, en vertu du paragraphe 42(2) de la Loi sur les juges, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil accorde à l’honorable Edward C. Chiasson, à titre viager, une pension annuelle de 189 274,67 $, payable à compter du 11 décembre 2015.
