His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, authorizes the Minister of Foreign Affairs

(a) to sign, on behalf of the Government of Canada, subject to ratification, the Agreement between the Government of Canada and the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China for the Promotion and Protection of Investments; or

(b) to execute and issue an Instrument of Full Powers authorizing Chrystia Freeland, Minister for International Trade, or Christine Hogan, Deputy Minister of International Trade, or Jonathan Fried, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Canada to the World Trade Organization , or David Angell, High Commissioner for Canada to the Republic of Kenya, or James Ian Burchett, Consul General of Canada in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (People’s Republic of China), to sign, on behalf of the Government of Canada, subject to ratification, the Agreement between the Government of Canada and the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China for the Promotion and Protection of Investments.

Sur recommandation du ministre des Affaires étrangères, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil autorise celui-ci :

a) soit à signer, au nom du gouvernement du Canada, sous réserve de ratification, l’Accord entre le Gouvernement du Canada et le Gouvernement de la Région administrative spéciale de Hong Kong de la République populaire de Chine concernant la promotion et la protection des investissements;

b) soit à signer et à délivrer un instrument de pleins pouvoirs autorisant Chrystia Freeland, ministre du Commerce international, ou Christine Hogan, sous-ministre du Commerce international, ou Jonathan Fried, ambassadeur et représentant permanent du Canada auprès de l’Organisation mondiale du commerce, ou David Angell, haut-commissaire du Canada auprès de la République du Kenya, ou James Ian Burchett, consul général du Canada à la Région administrative spéciale de Hong Kong (République populaire de Chine), à signer, au nom du gouvernement du Canada, sous réserve de ratification, l’Accord entre le Gouvernement du Canada et le Gouvernement de la Région administrative spéciale de Hong Kong de la République populaire de Chine concernant la promotion et la protection des investissements.
