Whereas the Administrator of the Government of Ontario, the Honourable George R. Strathy, Chief Justice of Ontario, will be unable to act on November 18 and 19, 2015, inclusive, and it is therefore necessary that another person be appointed Administrator for that period;

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Canadian Heritage, pursuant to section 67 of the Constitution Act, 1867,

(a) terminates the appointment of the Honourable George R. Strathy as Administrator of the Government of Ontario, effective November 18, 2015;

(b) appoints the Honourable Michael H. Tulloch to be Administrator of the Government of Ontario, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective November 18, 2015;

(c) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Michael H. Tulloch as Administrator of the Government of Ontario, effective November 20, 2015; and

(d) appoints the Honourable George R. Strathy to be Administrator of the Government of Ontario, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective November 20, 2015.

Attendu que l’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario, l’honorable George R. Strathy, juge en chef de l’Ontario, ne sera pas en mesure de remplir ses fonctions les 18 et 19 novembre 2015 et qu’il est donc nécessaire qu’une autre personne soit nommée administrateur pour cette période,

À ces causes, sur recommandation de la ministre du Patrimoine canadien et en vertu de l’article 67 de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil :

a) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable George R. Strathy au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario, avec prise d’effet le 18 novembre 2015;

b) nomme l’honorable Michael H. Tulloch à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur de l’Ontario durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 18 novembre 2015;

c) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable Michael H. Tulloch au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario, avec prise d’effet le 20 novembre 2015;

d) nomme l’honorable George R. Strathy à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur de l’Ontario durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 20 novembre 2015.
