Whereas the Administrator of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, the Honourable J. Derek Green, Chief Justice of Newfoundland and Labrador, will be unable to act from July 20 to July 25, 2015, inclusive, and it is therefore necessary that other persons be appointed Administrator for that period;

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Canadian Heritage, pursuant to section 67 of the Constitution Act, 1867,

(a) repeals paragraphs (e) and (f) of Order in Council P.C. 2015-1069 of July 8, 2015;

(b) terminates the appointment of the Honourable B. Gale Welsh as Administrator of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, effective July 23, 2015;

(c) appoints the Honourable Raymond P. Whalen to be Administrator of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective July 23, 2015;

(d) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Raymond P. Whalen as Administrator of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, effective July 24, 2015;

(e) appoints the Honourable B. Gale Welsh to be Administrator of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective July 24, 2015;

(f) terminates the appointment of the Honourable B. Gale Welsh as Administrator of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, effective July 26, 2015; and

(g) appoints the Honourable J. Derek Green to be Administrator of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective July 26, 2015.

Attendu que l’administrateur du gouvernement de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador, l’honorable J. Derek Green, juge en chef de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador, ne sera pas en mesure de remplir ses fonctions du 20 au 25 juillet 2015 et qu’il est donc nécessaire que d’autres personnes soient nommées administrateurs pour cette période,

À ces causes, sur recommandation de la ministre du Patrimoine canadien et en vertu de l’article 67 de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil :

a) abroge les alinéas e) et f) du décret C.P. 2015-1069 du 8 juillet 2015;

b) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable B. Gale Welsh au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador, avec prise d’effet le 23 juillet 2015;

c) nomme l’honorable Raymond P. Whalen à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 23 juillet 2015;

d) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable Raymond P. Whalen au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador, avec prise d’effet le 24 juillet 2015;

e) nomme l’honorable B. Gale Welsh à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador afin qu’elle remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 24 juillet 2015;

f) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable B. Gale Welsh au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador, avec prise d’effet le 26 juillet 2015;

g) nomme l’honorable J. Derek Green à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 26 juillet 2015.
