Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Veterans Affairs, pursuant to section 101 of An Act to amend the statute law in relation to veterans' benefits ("the Act"), assented to on October 20, 2000, being chapter 34 of the Statutes of Canada, 2000, hereby fixes December 15, 2002 as the day on which the following provisions come into force:

(a) subsection 13(1) of the Act;

(b) the portion of section 5 of the Department of Veterans Affairs Act before paragraph (a), as enacted by subsection 13(2) of the Act;

(c) paragraph 5(e.1) of the Department of Veterans Affairs Act, as enacted by subsection 13(3) of the Act; and

(d) subsections 13(6) to (8) and sections 17 and 18 of the Act.

Sur recommandation du ministre des Anciens combattants et en vertu de l'article 101 de la Loi portant modification de la législation concernant les avantages pour les anciens combattants (la « Loi »), sanctionnée le 20 octobre 2000, chapitre 34 des Lois du Canada (2000), Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil fixe au 15 décembre 2002 la date d'entrée en vigueur des dispositions suivantes :

a) le paragraphe 13(1) de la Loi;

b) le passage de l'article 5 de la Loi sur le ministère des Anciens combattants précédant l'alinéa a), édicté par le paragraphe 13(2) de la Loi;

c) l'alinéa 5e.1) de la Loi sur le ministère des Anciens combattants, édicté par le paragraphe 13(3) de la Loi;

d) les paragraphes 13(6) à (8) et les articles 17 et 18 de la Loi.
