Whereas the Honourable André Gervais, a Judge of the Superior Court in and for the Province of Quebec, attained the age of seventy-five years on May 9, 2008, retired on that date and was granted an annuity of $168,000 by Order in Council P.C. 2008-436 of February 28, 2008, which was adjusted to $173,333.33, in accordance with section 25 of the Judges Act;

And whereas the Honourable André Gervais died on March 17, 2015, leaving a survivor, Cécile Forgues;

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, pursuant to section 44 of the Judges Act, grants an annuity of $86,666.66 to Cécile Forgues, effective March 18, 2015, and to continue during her life.

Attendu que l’honorable André Gervais, juge de la Cour supérieure du Québec, a atteint l’âge de soixante-quinze ans le 9 mai 2008, qu’il a pris sa retraite le même jour et qu’une pension de 168 000 $ lui a été accordée par le décret C.P. 2008-436 du 28 février 2008, laquelle a été rajustée à 173 333,33 $ conformément à l’article 25 de la Loi sur les juges;

Attendu que l’honorable André Gervais est décédé le 17 mars 2015 et qu’il laisse une survivante, Cécile Forgues,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de la Justice et en vertu de l’article 44 de la Loi sur les juges, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil accorde, à titre viager, une pension annuelle de 86 666,66 $ à Cécile Forgues, payable à compter du 18 mars 2015.
