His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, authorizes the Minister of Foreign Affairs:

(a) to sign, on behalf of the Government of Canada, subject to ratification, the Agreement between the Government of Canada and the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China for the Promotion and Protection of Investments; or

(b) to execute and issue an Instrument of Full Powers authorizing Edward Fast, Minister for International Trade, or Lynne Yelich, Minister of State to assist the Minister of Foreign Affairs, or Ian Burchett, Consul General of Canada in Hong Kong and Macao, or Susan Gregson, Assistant Deputy Minister, Asia Pacific, or Neil Reeder, Ambassador of Canada to the Philippines, to sign, on behalf of the Government of Canada, subject to ratification, the Agreement between the Government of Canada and the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China for the Promotion and Protection of Investments.

Sur recommandation du ministre des Affaires étrangères, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil autorise celui-ci :

a) soit à signer, au nom du gouvernement du Canada, sous réserve de ratification, l’Accord entre le gouvernement du Canada et le gouvernement de la Région administrative spéciale de Hong Kong de la République populaire de Chine concernant la promotion et la protection des investissements;

b) soit à signer et à délivrer un instrument de pleins pouvoirs autorisant Edward Fast, ministre du Commerce international, ou Lynne Yelich, ministre d’État déléguée auprès du ministre des Affaires étrangères, ou Ian Burchett, consul général du Canada à Hong Kong et Macao, ou Susan Gregson, sous-ministre adjointe, Asie-Pacifique, ou Neil Reeder, ambassadeur du Canada auprès des Philippines, à signer, au nom du gouvernement du Canada, sous réserve de ratification, l’Accord entre le gouvernement du Canada et le gouvernement de la Région administrative spéciale de Hong Kong de la République populaire de Chine concernant la promotion et la protection des investissements.
