His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, pursuant to subsections 97(1) and (5) of the Firearms Act, makes the annexed Order Amending the United States Enforcement Officers Exemption Order (Marine Transportation of Firearms).

Sur recommandation du ministre de la Sécurité publique et de la Protection civile et en vertu des paragraphes 97(1) et (5) de la Loi sur les armes à feu, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil prend le Décret modifiant le Décret accordant une dispense aux agents d’exécution des États-Unis (transport d’armes à feu par voie maritime), ci-après.

ORDER AMENDING THE UNITED STATES ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS EXEMPTION ORDER (MARINE TRANSPORTATION OF FIREARMS)

1. Subsection 2‍(3) of the United States Enforcement Officers Exemption Order (Marine Transportation of Firearms) is replaced by the following:

(3) The exemption is for the period beginning on the day on which this Order is made and ending on March 31, 2020.

2. Section 5 of the Order is amended by adding “and” at the end of paragraph (c) and by repealing paragraph (d)‍.

DéCRET MODIFIANT LE DéCRET ACCORDANT UNE DISPENSE AUX AGENTS D’EXéCUTION DES ÉTATS-UNIS (TRANSPORT D’ARMES à FEU PAR VOIE MARITIME)

1. Le paragraphe 2‍(3) du Décret accordant une dispense aux agents d’exécution des États-Unis (transport d’armes à feu par voie maritime) est remplacé par ce qui suit :

(3) La dispense vaut pour la période commençant à la date de prise du présent décret et se terminant le 31 mars 2020.

2. L’alinéa 5d) du même décret est abrogé.
