   His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Finance, pursuant to section 9 of the Royal Canadian Mint Act, appoints Carman Joynt of Ottawa, Ontario, to be Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Royal Canadian Mint to hold office during pleasure for a term of five years.
