   The Committee of the Privy Council has had before it reports representing that vacancies have occurred in the representation in the House of Commons:

1.  for the electoral district of Whitby-Oshawa, in the Province of Ontario, by reason of the death of the Honourable James Michael Flaherty; and

2.   for the electoral district of Yellowhead, in the

 Province of Alberta, by reason of the resignation of the Honourable Rob Merrifield;

   The Committee, therefore, advises that writs do issue for the election of new Members to the House of Commons for those electoral districts, to be dated October 12, 2014, and that the polling be on November 17, 2014.

Le Comité du Conseil privé a reçu des rapports exposant qu’il existe des vacances à la Chambre des communes :

 1.  pour la circonscription électorale de Whitby-Oshawa (Ontario), en raison du décès

   de l’honorable James Michael Flaherty;

 2.  pour la circonscription électorale de Yellowhead (Alberta), en raison de la démission

   de l’honorable Rob Merrifield;

    À ces causes, le Comité du Conseil privé recommande que des brefs d’élections, datés du 12 octobre 2014, soient délivrés en vue de combler les vacances à la Chambre des communes pour ces circonscriptions électorales et que le scrutin se tienne le 17 novembre 2014.
