   His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development, pursuant to sections 6, 7 and 9 of the Canadian Polar Commission Act, appoints Edward G. (Ted) Lennox of Ottawa, Ontario, to be Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Polar Commission to hold office during pleasure for a term of one year, and fixes his per diem as set out in the annexed schedule, which rate is within the per diem range GC 4 ($615 - $720).

   Sur recommandation du ministre des Affaires indiennes et du Nord canadien et en vertu des articles 6, 7 et 9 de la Loi sur la Commission canadienne des affaires polaires, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil nomme Edward G. (Ted) Lennox, d’Ottawa (Ontario), président du conseil d’administration de la Commission canadienne des affaires polaires à titre amovible pour un mandat d’un an, et fixe sa rémunération au taux spécifié à l’annexe ci-jointe, laquelle rémunération journalière se situe dans l’échelle GC 4 (615 $ - 720 $).
