His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Transport, pursuant to section 48 of the Canada Transportation Act, approves that the Minister of Transport enter into a contribution agreement with Ocean Networks Canada, for a total amount not to exceed $20,000,000, for the implementation of the Ocean Networks Canada – Smart Oceans Contribution Program, which is designed to enable Ocean Networks Canada to develop and share navigational information in order to contribute to the development of a world-class tanker safety system.

Sur recommandation de la ministre des Transports et en vertu de l’article 48 de la Loi sur les transports au Canada, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil agrée la conclusion, par la ministre des Transports, d’un accord de contribution avec Ocean Networks Canada d’une somme totale ne dépassant pas 20 000 000 $ pour la mise en œuvre du Programme de contribution Ocean Networks Canada – Océans intelligents, lequel programme vise à permettre à Ocean Networks Canada de recueillir et de partager des renseignements de navigation, afin de contribuer au développement d’un système de sécurité de classe mondiale pour les navires-citernes.
