                     Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, pursuant to subsection 26(1) of the Citizenship Act, hereby appoints Michel C. Simard of Hull, Quebec, as a citizenship judge, to be senior judge, to hold office during pleasure for a term of five years on a full-time basis, and fixes his salary and other employment conditions as set out in the schedule hereto, which salary is within the range GCQ 4 ($100,300 - $118,000), effective August 11, 2003.

                     Sur recommandation du ministre de la Citoyenneté et de l’Immigration et en vertu du paragraphe 26(1) de la Loi sur la citoyenneté, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil nomme Michel C. Simard, de Hull (Québec), comme juge de la citoyenneté, au poste de juge principal, à titre amovible, pour un mandat de cinq ans, à temps plein, et fixe son traitement et autres conditions d’emploi conformément à l’annexe ci-jointe, lequel traitement se situe dans l’échelle GCQ 4 (100 300 $ - 118 000 $), à compter du 11 août 2003.
