Whereas the Honourable Claude Larouche, a Judge of the Superior Court of Quebec, will attain the age of seventy-five years on June 19, 2014, and, therefore, will cease to hold office on that date under the provisions of subsection 99(2) of the Constitution Act, 1867;

And whereas the Honourable Claude Larouche has held judicial office for at least ten years;

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, pursuant to paragraph 42(1)(d) of the Judges Act, grants an annuity of $197,000 to the Honourable Claude Larouche, commencing on June 19, 2014, and continuing during his life.

Attendu que l’honorable Claude Larouche, juge de la Cour supérieure du Québec, atteindra l’âge de soixante-quinze ans le 19 juin 2014 et que, en conséquence, il cessera d’occuper son poste à cette date en vertu du paragraphe 99(2) de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867;

Attendu que l’honorable Claude Larouche a exercé des fonctions judiciaires pendant au moins dix ans,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de la Justice et en vertu de l’alinéa 42(1)d) de la Loi sur les juges, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil accorde à l’honorable Claude Larouche, à titre viager, une pension annuelle de 197 000 $, payable à compter du 19 juin 2014.
