Whereas the Chief Justice of the Superior Court of Justice in and for the Province of Ontario granted to the Honourable John A. McMunagle, a Judge of that Court, leave of absence from his judicial duties because of ill-health for a period of six months, from July 1, 2013 to December 31, 2013;

And whereas the Honourable John A. McMunagle has requested through the Chief Justice of the Superior Court of Justice in and for the Province of Ontario for a further leave of absence, supported by a medical certificate, until June 30, 2014;

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, pursuant to paragraph 54(1)(b) of the Judges Act, approves of leave of absence being granted to the Honourable John A. McMunagle from his judicial duties from January 1, 2014 to June 30, 2014.

Attendu que la juge en chef de la Cour supérieure de justice de l’Ontario a autorisé l’honorable John A. McMunagle, juge de cette cour, à s’absenter de ses fonctions judiciaires pour raisons de santé pour une période de six mois, du 1^er juillet 2013 au 31 décembre 2013;

Attendu que l’honorable John A. McMunagle a demandé, par l’entremise de la juge en chef de la Cour supérieure de justice de l’Ontario, attestation médicale à l’appui, la permission de prolonger son absence jusqu’au 30 juin 2014,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de la Justice et en vertu de l’alinéa 54(1)b) de la Loi sur les juges, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil autorise l’honorable John A. McMunagle à s’absenter de ses fonctions judiciaires du 1^er janvier 2014 au 30 juin 2014.
