Whereas by Order in Council P.C. 1991-326

of February 21, 1991, the resignation of the

Honourable John Peter van der Hoop as a Judge of

the Supreme Court of British Columbia was accepted and he was granted an annuity of $93,600, effective February 21, 1991;

And whereas the Honourable John Peter van der Hoop died on February 11, 2014, leaving a survivor, Shirley van der Hoop;

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, pursuant to section 44 of the Judges Act, grants an annuity of $46,800 to

Shirley van der Hoop, effective February 12, 2014, and to continue during her life.

Attendu que, en vertu du décret C.P. 1991-326

du 21 février 1991, la démission de

l’honorable John Peter van der Hoop comme juge de la Cour suprême de la Colombie-Britannique a été acceptée et qu’il recevait une pension de 93 600 $ depuis le 21 février 1991;

Attendu que l’honorable John Peter van der Hoop est décédé le 11 février 2014 et qu’il laisse une survivante, Shirley van der Hoop,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de la Justice et en vertu de l’article 44 de la Loi sur les juges, Son   Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil accorde, à titre viager, une pension annuelle de 46 800 $ à Shirley van der Hoop, payable à compter du 12 février 2014.
