Whereas, pursuant to subsection 20(1) of the Canada Post Corporation Act, a copy of the proposed Regulations Amending the Mail Receptacles Regulations, in the annexed form, was published in the Canada Gazette, Part I, on December 21, 2013 and a reasonable opportunity was afforded to interested persons to make representations to the Minister of Transport with respect to the proposed Regulations;

And whereas the Minister of Transport submitted the annexed Regulations Amending the Mail Receptacles Regulations to the Governor in Council for consideration in accordance with subsection 20(3) of the Act, which was received by the Clerk of the Privy Council on February 26, 2014;

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, having considered the annexed Regulations Amending the Mail Receptacles Regulations submitted by the Minister of Transport under subsection 20(3) of the Canada Post Corporation Act, pursuant to subsections 19(1) and 20(5) of that Act, refuses to approve the annexed Regulations Amending the Mail Receptacles Regulations, made on February 5, 2014 by the Canada Post Corporation.

Attendu que, conformément au paragraphe 20(1) de la Loi sur la Société canadienne des postes, le projet de règlement intitulé Règlement modifiant le Règlement sur les boîtes aux lettres, conforme en substance au texte ci-après, a été publié dans la Partie I de la Gazette du Canada le 21 décembre 2013 et que les intéressés ont ainsi eu la possibilité de présenter leurs observations à cet égard à la ministre des Transports;

Attendu que la ministre des Transports a soumis le Règlement modifiant le Règlement sur les boîtes aux lettres, ci-après, à l’examen du gouverneur en conseil conformément au paragraphe 20(3) de la loi, règlement qui a été reçu par le greffier du Conseil privé le 26 février 2014,

À ces causes, ayant examiné le Règlement modifiant le Règlement sur les boîtes aux lettres, ci-après, soumis par la ministre des Transports conformément au paragraphe 20(3) de la Loi sur la Société canadienne des postes, et en vertu des paragraphes 19(1) et 20(5) de cette loi, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil refuse d’approuver le Règlement modifiant le Règlement sur les boîtes aux lettres, ci-après, pris par la Société canadienne des postes le 5 février 2014.
