His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, authorizes the Minister of Foreign Affairs

(a) to sign, on behalf of the Government of Canada, subject to ratification, the Agreement between the Government of the United States of America and the Government of Canada to Improve International Tax Compliance through Enhanced Exchange of Information under the Convention between the United States of America and Canada with Respect to Taxes on Income and on Capital; or

(b) to execute and issue an Instrument of Full Powers authorizing James Michael Flaherty, Minister of Finance, or Gail Shea, Minister of Fisheries and Oceans, or Lynne Yelich, Minister of State (Foreign Affairs and Consular), or Gary Doer, Ambassador of Canada to the United States of America, or Brian Ernewein, General Director, Department of Finance, or Brian McCauley, Assistant Commissioner, Canada Revenue Agency, to sign, on behalf of the Government of Canada, subject to ratification, the Agreement between the Government of the United States of America and the Government of Canada to Improve International Tax Compliance through Enhanced Exchange of Information under the Convention between the United States of America and Canada with Respect to Taxes on Income and on Capital.

Sur recommandation du ministre des Affaires étrangères, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil autorise celui-ci :

a) soit à signer, au nom du gouvernement du Canada, sous réserve de ratification, l’Accord entre le gouvernement du Canada et le gouvernement des États-Unis d’Amérique en vue d’améliorer l’observation fiscale à l’échelle internationale au moyen d’un meilleur échange de renseignements en vertu de la Convention entre le Canada et les États-Unis d’Amérique en matière d’impôts sur le revenu et sur la fortune;

b) soit à signer et à délivrer un instrument de pleins pouvoirs autorisant James Michael Flaherty, ministre des Finances, ou Gail Shea, ministre des Pêches et des Océans, ou Lynne Yelich, ministre d’État (Affaires étrangères et consulaires), ou Gary Doer, ambassadeur du Canada auprès des États-Unis d’Amérique, ou Brian Ernewein, directeur général, ministère des Finances, ou Brian McCauley, sous-commissaire, Agence du revenu du Canada, à signer, au nom du gouvernement du Canada, sous réserve de ratification, l’Accord entre le gouvernement du Canada et le gouvernement des États-Unis d’Amérique en vue d’améliorer l’observation fiscale à l’échelle internationale au moyen d’un meilleur échange de renseignements en vertu de la Convention entre le Canada et les États-Unis d’Amérique en matière d’impôts sur le revenu et sur la fortune.
