Whereas the Honourable Robert J. Sharpe, who was appointed Administrator of the Government of Ontario effective January 30, 2014 by Order in Council P.C. 2014-0004 of January 2, 2014, will be unable to act from February 3, 2014 to February 23, 2014, inclusive, and it is therefore necessary that another person be appointed Administrator for that period;

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Canadian Heritage, pursuant to section 67 of the Constitution Act, 1867,

(a) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Robert J. Sharpe as Administrator of the Government of Ontario, effective February 3, 2014;

(b) appoints the Honourable Karen M. Weiler to be Administrator of the Government of Ontario, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective February 3, 2014;

(c) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Karen M. Weiler as Administrator of the Government of Ontario, effective February 24, 2014; and

(d) appoints the Honourable Robert J. Sharpe to be Administrator of the Government of Ontario, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective February 24, 2014.

Attendu que l’honorable Robert J. Sharpe, qui a été nommé administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario à compter du 30 janvier 2014 par le décret C.P. 2014-0004 du 2 janvier 2014, ne sera pas en mesure de remplir ses fonctions du 3 au 23 février 2014 et qu’il est donc nécessaire qu’une autre personne soit nommée administrateur pour cette période,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre du Patrimoine canadien et en vertu de l’article 67 de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil :

a) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable Robert J. Sharpe au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario, avec prise d’effet le 3 février 2014;

b) nomme l’honorable Karen M. Weiler à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario afin qu’elle remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur de l’Ontario durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 3 février 2014;

c) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable Karen M. Weiler au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario, avec prise d’effet le 24 février 2014;

d) nomme l’honorable Robert J. Sharpe à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur de l’Ontario durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 24 février 2014.
