Whereas Alberta requested financial assistance from the federal government on October 22, 2012, in respect of the provincial emergency referred to in the annexed Order;

 

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, pursuant to paragraphs 7(c) and (d) of the Emergency Management Act, makes the annexed Provincial Emergency Financial Assistance Order No. 163.


Attendu que l’Alberta a présenté une demande d’aide financière au gouvernement fédéral le 22 octobre 2012, à l’égard de l’urgence provinciale visée par le décret ci-après,

 

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de la Sécurité publique et de la Protection civile et en vertu des alinéas 7c) et d) de la Loi sur la gestion des urgences, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil prend le Décret no 163 sur l’aide financière à l’égard d’une urgence provinciale, ci-après.

 

 


PROVINCIAL EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE ORDER NO. 163

 

DECLARATION

1.  The following provincial emergency is declared to be of concern to the federal government, namely, the rainstorm that occurred from June 5 to 6, 2012, that affected the City of Calgary, Alberta and resulted in overland flooding and damage to private property and provincial and municipal infrastructure.

 

AUTHORIZATION

2.  The Minister is authorized to provide financial assistance to Alberta under paragraph 4(1)(j) of the Emergency Management Act in respect of the provincial emergency referred to in section 1.


DÉCRET No 163 SUR L’AIDE FINANCIÈRE

À L’ÉGARD D’UNE URGENCE PROVINCIALE

 

DÉCLARATION

1.  Il est déclaré que l’urgence provinciale ci-après constitue un sujet de préoccupation pour le gouvernement fédéral: la tempête de pluie survenue dans la ville de Calgary, en Alberta, les 5 et 6 juin 2012 et ayant causé des inondations et des dommages aux propriétés privées ainsi qu’aux infrastructures provinciales et municipales.

 

AUTORISATION

2.  Le ministre est autorisé à fournir à l’Alberta, au titre de l’alinéa 4(1)j) de la Loi sur la gestion des urgences, une aide financière à l’égard de l’urgence provinciale visée à l’article 1.
