Whereas South Sudan is a country that is a beneficiary of the General Preferential Tariff under the Customs Tariff;

And whereas the Governor in Council is of the opinion that South Sudan is a least developed country;

Therefore, to extend entitlement to the Least Developed Country Tariff to all eligible goods that originate in South Sudan, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Finance, pursuant to paragraph 38(1)(a) of the Customs Tariff, makes the annexed Order Amending the Schedule to the Customs Tariff (Extension of Least Developed Country Tariff to South Sudan).

Attendu que le Soudan du Sud est un pays bénéficiant du tarif de préférence général aux termes du Tarif des douanes;

Attendu que le gouverneur en conseil estime que le Soudan du Sud est un pays parmi les moins développés,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre des Finances et en vertu de l’alinéa 38(1)a) du Tarif des douanes, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil prend, afin d’accorder le bénéfice du tarif des pays les moins développés à toutes les marchandises admissibles originaires du Soudan du Sud, le Décret modifiant l’annexe du Tarif des douanes (octroi du tarif des pays les moins développés au Soudan du Sud), ci-après.
