Whereas Orders in Council P.C. 1960-1528 dated November 10, 1960, and P.C. 1963-1803 dated December 12, 1963 set apart certain lands pursuant to the Crown’s Royal Prerogative, for the use and benefit of the Kahkewistahaw First Nation as additions to Kahkewistahaw Indian Reserve No. 72 in Saskatchewan, hereinafter referred to as the “Round Lake Lands” and the “South Lands” respectively;

Whereas by Band Council Resolution No. 04-03-12/10 dated July 9, 2012, the Kahkewistahaw First Nation requested that the “Round Lake Lands” be named Kahkewistahaw Indian Reserve No. 72N and that the “South Lands” be named Kahkewistahaw Indian Reserve No. 72M;

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development, amends

(a) P.C. 1960-1528, by replacing in paragraphs 2 and 5, “as an addition to Kahkewistahaw Indian Reserve number seventy-two” with “as Kahkewistahaw Indian Reserve No. 72N”; and

(b) P.C. 1963-1803, by replacing in paragraph 2, “as an addition to the aforementioned reserve” with “as Kahkewistahaw Indian Reserve No. 72M”; and by replacing in paragraph 3, “as an addition to Kahkewistahaw Indian Reserve number seventy-two” with “as Kahkewistahaw Indian Reserve No. 72M”.

Attendu que, conformément aux décrets C.P. 1960-1528 daté du 10 novembre 1960 et C.P. 1963-1803 daté du 12 décembre 1963, certaines terres ont été mises de côté en vertu de la prérogative royale de la Couronne, à l’usage et au profit de la Première nation Kahkewistahaw, à titre d’ajout à la réserve indienne Kakhewistahaw n° 72, en Saskatchewan, ci-après « Round Lake Lands » et « South Lands » respectivement;

Attendu que, par la résolution du conseil de bande n° 04-03-12/10 datée du 9 juillet 2012, la Première nation Kahkewistahaw a demandé que « Round Lake Lands » soit nommé la réserve indienne Kahkewistahaw n° 72N et que « South Lands » soit nommé la réserve indienne Kahkewistahaw n° 72M,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre des Affaires indiennes et du Nord canadien, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil modifie :

a) le décret C.P. 1960-1528, en remplaçant aux deuxième et cinquième paragraphes « as an addition to Kahkewistahaw lndian Reserve number seventy-two » par « as Kahkewistahaw lndian Reserve No. 72N »;

b) le décret C.P. 1963-1803, en remplaçant au deuxième paragraphe « as an addition to the aforementioned reserve » par « as Kahkewistahaw lndian Reserve No. 72M » et au troisième paragraphe « as an addition to Kahkewistahaw lndian Reserve number seventy-two » par « as Kahkewistahaw lndian Reserve No. 72M ».
