Whereas the Administrator of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, the Honourable J. Derek Green, Chief Justice of Newfoundland and Labrador, will be unable to act from October 9 to October 15, 2013, inclusive, and from October 22 to October 28, 2013, inclusive, and it is therefore necessary that other persons be appointed Administrator for those periods;

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Canadian Heritage, pursuant to section 67 of the Constitution Act, 1867

(a) terminates the appointment of the Honourable J. Derek Green as Administrator of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, effective October 9, 2013;

(b) appoints the Honourable David B. Orsborn to be Administrator of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective October 9, 2013;

(c) terminates the appointment of the Honourable David B. Orsborn as Administrator of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, effective October 12, 2013;

(d) appoints the Honourable B. Gale Welsh to be Administrator of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective October 12, 2013;

(e) terminates the appointment of the Honourable B. Gale Welsh as Administrator of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, effective October 16, 2013;

(f) appoints the Honourable J. Derek Green to be Administrator of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective October 16, 2013;

(g) terminates the appointment of the Honourable J. Derek Green as Administrator of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, effective October 22, 2013;

(h) appoints the Honourable B. Gale Welsh to be Administrator of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective October 22, 2013;

(i) terminates the appointment of the Honourable B. Gale Welsh as Administrator of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, effective October 28, 2013;

(j) appoints the Honourable David B. Orsborn to be Administrator of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective October 28, 2013;

(k) terminates the appointment of the Honourable David B. Orsborn as Administrator of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, effective October 29, 2013; and

(l) appoints the Honourable J. Derek Green to be Administrator of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Newfoundland and Labrador during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective October 29, 2013.

Attendu que l’administrateur du gouvernement de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador, l’honorable J. Derek Green, juge en chef de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador, ne sera pas en mesure de remplir ses fonctions du 9 au 15 octobre 2013 et du 22 au 28 octobre 2013 et qu’il est donc nécessaire que d’autres personnes soient nommées administrateur pour ces périodes,

À ces causes, sur recommandation de la ministre du Patrimoine canadien et en vertu de l’article 67 de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil :

a) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable J. Derek Green au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador, avec prise d’effet le 9 octobre 2013;

b) nomme l’honorable David B. Orsborn à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 9 octobre 2013;

c) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable David B. Orsborn au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador, avec prise d’effet le 12 octobre 2013;

d) nomme l’honorable B. Gale Welsh à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador afin qu’elle remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 12 octobre 2013;

e) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable B. Gale Welsh au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador, avec prise d’effet le 16 octobre 2013;

f) nomme l’honorable J. Derek Green à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 16 octobre 2013;

g) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable J. Derek Green au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador, avec prise d’effet le 22 octobre 2013;

h) nomme l’honorable B. Gale Welsh à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador afin qu’elle remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 22 octobre 2013;

i) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable B. Gale Welsh au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador, avec prise d’effet le 28 octobre 2013;

j) nomme l’honorable David B. Orsborn à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 28 octobre 2013;

k) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable David B. Orsborn au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador, avec prise d’effet le 29 octobre 2013;

l) nomme l’honorable J. Derek Green à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 29 octobre 2013.
