Whereas by Order in Council P.C. 1999-356 of March 4, 1999, the resignation of the Honourable Alvin B. Rosenberg as a Judge of the Superior Court of Justice in and for the Province of Ontario was accepted and he was granted an annuity of $117,200, effective April 2, 1999, which was increased to $118,733.33 pursuant to Chapter 30 of the Statutes of Canada, 1998;

And whereas the Honourable Alvin B. Rosenberg died on January 24, 2013, leaving a survivor, Gloria Rosenberg;

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, pursuant to section 44 of the Judges Act, grants an annuity of $59,366.66 to Gloria Rosenberg, effective January 25, 2013, and to continue during her life.

Attendu que, par le décret C.P. 1999-356 du 4 mars 1999, la démission de l’honorable Alvin B. Rosenberg comme juge de la Cour supérieure de justice de l’Ontario a été acceptée et qu’il recevait une pension de 117 200 $ depuis le 2 avril 1999, laquelle a été augmentée à 118 733,33 $ en vertu du chapitre 30 des Lois du Canada (1998);

Attendu que l’honorable Alvin B. Rosenberg est décédé le 24 janvier 2013 et qu’il laisse une survivante, Gloria Rosenberg,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de la Justice et en vertu de l’article 44 de la Loi sur les juges, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil accorde, à titre viager, une pension annuelle de 59 366,66 $ à Gloria Rosenberg, payable à compter du 25 janvier 2013.
