Whereas, pursuant to subsection 11(3) of the Motor Vehicle Safety Act, a copy of the proposed Regulations Amending the Motor Vehicle Safety Regulations (Interpretation, Section 18 and Standards 203, 204, 208, 212 and 219), substantially in the annexed form, was published in the Canada Gazette, Part I, on February 11, 2012 and a reasonable opportunity was afforded to interested persons to make representations to the Minister of Transport with respect to the proposed Regulations;

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Transport, pursuant to section 5 and subsection 11(1) of the Motor Vehicle Safety Act, makes the annexed Regulations Amending the Motor Vehicle Safety Regulations (Interpretation, Section 18 and Standards 203, 204, 208, 212 and 219).

Attendu que, conformément au paragraphe 11(3) de la Loi sur la sécurité automobile, le projet de règlement intitulé Règlement modifiant le Règlement sur la sécurité des véhicules automobiles (interprétation, article 18 et normes 203, 204, 208, 212 et 219), conforme en substance au texte ci-après, a été publié dans la Gazette du Canada Partie I le 11 février 2012 et que les intéressés ont ainsi eu la possibilité de présenter leurs observations à cet égard au ministre des Transports,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre des Transports et en vertu de l’article 5 et du paragraphe 11(1) de la Loi sur la sécurité automobile, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil prend le Règlement modifiant le Règlement sur la sécurité des véhicules automobiles (interprétation, article 18 et normes 203, 204, 208, 212 et 219), ci-après.
