Whereas the Honourable Susan E. Lang, a Judge of the Court of Appeal for Ontario, who has continued in judicial office for at least fifteen years, has tendered her resignation effective January 11, 2013, and as of this date her combined age and number of years in judicial office is not less than eighty;

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice,

(a) accepts the resignation of the Honourable Susan E. Lang; and

(b) pursuant to paragraph 42(1)(a) of the Judges Act, grants the Honourable Susan E. Lang an annuity of $192,066.66, commencing on January 11, 2013, and continuing during her life.

Attendu que l’honorable Susan E. Lang, juge de la Cour d’appel de l’Ontario, après avoir exercé des fonctions judiciaires pendant au moins quinze ans, a donné sa démission, laquelle prend effet le 11 janvier 2013, et que, à cette date, le chiffre obtenu par l’addition de son âge et du nombre d’années d’exercice est d’au moins quatre-vingts,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de la Justice, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil :

a) accepte la démission de l’honorable Susan E. Lang;

b) en vertu du paragraphe 42(1)a) de la Loi sur les juges, accorde à l’honorable Susan E. Lang, à titre viager, une pension annuelle de 192 066,66 $, payable à compter du 11 janvier 2013.
