Whereas federal, provincial and territorial Ministers of Agriculture have committed to establishing a new policy framework entitled “Growing Forward 2”;

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, pursuant to subsection 9(1) of the Farm Income Protection Act, consents that the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food enter into amending agreements with the provinces and territories

(a) to replace the terms of the Federal/Provincial/ Territorial Agreement with respect to AgriStability and AgriInvest with terms substantially in accordance with those terms set out in the attached Annex A; and

(b) to replace the terms of the Federal/Provincial AgriInsurance Agreement with terms substantially in accordance with those terms set out in the attached Annex B.

Attendu que les ministres fédéraux, provinciaux et territoriaux de l’Agriculture se sont engagés à établir un nouveau cadre stratégique intitulé « Cultivons l’avenir 2 »,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de l’Agriculture et de l’Agroalimentaire et en vertu du paragraphe 9(1) de la Loi sur la protection du revenu agricole, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil agrée la conclusion, par le ministre de l’Agriculture et de l’Agroalimentaire, d’accords modificateurs avec les provinces et les territoires :

a) pour remplacer les modalités de l’Accord fédéral-provincial-territorial sur les programmes Agri-stabilité et Agri-investissement par des modalités qui sont conformes en substance à celles figurant à l’annexe A ci-jointe;

b) pour remplacer les modalités de l’Accord fédéral-provincial sur le programme Agri-protection par des modalités qui sont conformes en substance à celles figurant à l’annexe B ci-jointe.
