Whereas, on April 24, 2010, the Minister of the Environment published in the Canada Gazette, Part I, pursuant to subsection 9(2) of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999, the proposed Agreement Respecting the National Air Pollution Surveillance Program Memorandum of Understanding;

And whereas, the Minister of the Environment has received no comments or notices of objection from the public in response to the publication of the proposed agreement;

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of the Environment, pursuant to section 9 of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999, approves that the Minister of the Environment enter into, with the Governments of Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Québec, Saskatchewan, the Northwest Territories, Nunavut and the Yukon, the Agreement Respecting the National Air Pollution Surveillance Program Memorandum of Understanding, which is substantially in accordance with the annexed draft agreement.

Attendu que, le 24 avril 2010, le ministre de l’Environnement a publié dans la Gazette du Canada Partie I, conformément au paragraphe 9(2) de la Loi canadienne sur la protection de l’environnement (1999), le projet d’Accord concernant le protocole d’entente sur le programme du Réseau national de surveillance de la pollution atmosphérique;

Attendu que le ministre de l’Environnement n’a reçu aucune observation ni aucun avis d’opposition du public en réponse à la publication de ce projet d’accord,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de l’Environnement et en vertu de l’article 9 de la Loi canadienne sur la protection de l’environnement (1999), Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil agrée la conclusion par le ministre de l’Environnement, avec les gouvernements de l’Alberta, de la Colombie-Britannique, de l’Île-du-Prince-Édouard, du Manitoba, du Nouveau-Brunswick, de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador, de la Nouvelle-Écosse, de l’Ontario, du Québec, de la Saskatchewan, des Territoires du Nord-Ouest, du Nunavut et du Yukon, de l’Accord concernant le protocole d’entente sur le programme du Réseau national de surveillance de la pollution atmosphérique, lequel accord est conforme en substance au projet d’accord ci-joint.
