Whereas the Honourable Edward C.Malone, a Judge of Her Majesty’s Court of Queen’s Bench for Saskatchewan, will attain the age of seventy-five years on July 17, 2012, and, therefore, will cease to hold office on that date under the provisions of subsection 99(2) of the Constitution Act, 1867;

And whereas the Honourable Edward C. Malone has held judicial office for at least ten years;

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, pursuant to paragraph 42(1)(d) of the Judges Act, grants an annuity of $192,066.66 to the Honourable Edward C. Malone, commencing on July 17, 2012, and continuing during his life.

Attendu que l’honorable Edward C. Malone, juge de la Cour du Banc de la Reine de la Saskatchewan, atteindra l’âge de soixante-quinze ans le 17 juillet 2012 et que, en conséquence, il cessera d’occuper son poste à cette date en vertu du paragraphe 99(2) de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867;

Attendu que l’honorable Edward C. Malone a exercé des fonctions judiciaires pendant au moins dix ans,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de la Justice et en vertu de l’alinéa 42(1)d) de la Loi sur les juges, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil accorde à l’honorable Edward C. Malone, à titre viager, une pension annuelle de 192 066,66 $, payable à compter du 17 juillet 2012.
