His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Transport, pursuant to section 48 of the Canada Transportation Act, hereby

(a) repeals paragraph (a) of Order in Council P.C. 2008-1756 of November 20, 2008; and

(b) approves that the Minister of Transport enter into contribution agreements in an amount not to exceed $400,000,000 for each project and in an amount not to exceed $750,000,000 for each recipient for the purpose of implementing the Asia-Pacific Gateway and Corridor Transportation Infrastructure Fund for projects designed to address capacity challenges facing Canada’s Asia-Pacific Gateway and Corridor to enhance the competitiveness, efficiency and capacity of Canada’s multi-modal transportation network focused on the movement of international commerce with the Asia-Pacific region.

Sur recommandation du ministre des Transports et en vertu de l’article 48 de la Loi sur les transports au Canada, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil :

a) abroge l’alinéa a) du décret C.P. 2008-1756 du 20 novembre 2008;

b) agrée la conclusion, par le ministre des Transports, d’accords de contribution d’un montant ne dépassant pas 400 000 000 $ par projet et d’un montant ne dépassant pas 750 000 000 $ par bénéficiaire en vue de la mise en œuvre du Fonds d’infrastructure de transport de la Porte et du Corridor de l’Asie-Pacifique à l’égard des projets conçus pour répondre aux défis, en matière de capacité, touchant la Porte et le Corridor de l’Asie-Pacifique du Canada afin d’accroître la compétitivité, l’efficience et la capacité du réseau de transport multimodal du Canada axé sur le mouvement du commerce international avec l’Asie-Pacifique.
