His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, pursuant to paragraph 33(1)(c) of the Parliament of Canada Act, hereby authorizes the trip to Colombo, Hambantota, Galle, Jaffna, Kilinochchi and Mullaittivu, Sri Lanka, undertaken by Chris Alexander, Member of Parliament for the Constituency of Ajax–Pickering, Ontario, from March 21 to March 25, 2012 inclusive, to determine, as a member of a parliamentary fact-finding mission, what progress the Government of Sri Lanka has made in terms of advancing a process of political reconciliation and accountability.

Sur recommandation du ministre des Affaires étrangères et en vertu de l’alinéa 33(1)c) de la Loi sur le Parlement du Canada, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil autorise le voyage à Colombo, à Hambantota, à Galle, à Jaffna, à Kilinochchi et à Mullaittivu (Sri Lanka), que Chris Alexander, député de la circonscription de Ajax–Pickering (Ontario), a effectué du 21 au 25 mars 2012 en vue d’évaluer, en tant que membre d’une mission d’enquête parlementaire, les progrès réalisés par le gouvernement du Sri Lanka au chapitre de la réconciliation et de la responsabilité politiques.
