Whereas the Administrator of the Government of Quebec, the Honourable France Thibault, Judge of the Court of Appeal of Quebec, will be unable to act from March 17 to April 1, 2012, inclusive, and it is therefore necessary that another person be appointed Administrator for this period;

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Canadian Heritage, pursuant to section 67 of the Constitution Act, 1867, hereby

(a) terminates the appointment of the Honourable France Thibault as Administrator of the Government of Quebec, effective March 17, 2012;

(b) appoints the Honourable François Pelletier to be Administrator of the Government of Quebec, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Quebec during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective March 17, 2012;

(c) terminates the appointment of the Honourable François Pelletier as Administrator of the Government of Quebec, effective April 2, 2012; and

(d) appoints the Honourable France Thibault to be Administrator of the Government of Quebec, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Quebec during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective April 2, 2012.

Attendu que l’administrateur du gouvernement du Québec, l’honorable France Thibault, juge de la cour d’appel du Québec, ne sera pas en mesure de remplir ses fonctions du 17 mars au 1^er avril 2012 et qu’il est donc nécessaire qu’une autre personne soit nommée administrateur pour cette période,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre du Patrimoine canadien et en vertu de l’article 67 de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil :

a) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable France Thibault au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement du Québec, avec prise d’effet le 17 mars 2012;

b) nomme l’honorable François Pelletier à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement du Québec afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur du Québec durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 17 mars 2012;

c) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable François Pelletier au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement du Québec, avec prise d’effet le 2 avril 2012;

d) nomme l’honorable France Thibault, à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement du Québec afin qu’elle remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur du Québec durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 2 avril 2012.
