   His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Finance, hereby:

 (a)  pursuant to subsections 10(1) and 10(5) of the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board Act, reappoints Robert M. Astley of Waterloo, Ontario, as a director of the board of directors of the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, to hold office during good behaviour for a term ending October 26, 2014; and

 (b)  after consultation with the board of directors of the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and the appropriate provincial Ministers of the participating provinces, pursuant to subsection 12(1) of the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board Act, designates Robert M. Astley as Chairperson of the board of directors of the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board to hold office during good behaviour.

   Sur recommandation du ministre des Finances, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil :

 a)  en vertu des paragraphes 10(1) et 10(5) de la Loi sur l’Office d’investissement du régime de pensions du Canada, renouvelle le mandat de Robert M. Astley, de Waterloo (Ontario), administrateur du conseil d’administration de l’Office d’investissement du régime de pensions du Canada, à titre inamovible, pour une période se terminant le 26 octobre 2014;

 b)  après consultation avec les ministres provinciaux compétents des provinces participantes et le conseil d’administration de l’Office d’investissement du régime de pensions du Canada, et en vertu du paragraphe 12(1) de la Loi sur l’Office d’investissement du régime de pensions du Canada, désigne Robert M. Astley au poste de président du conseil d’administration de l’Office d’investissement du régime de pensions du Canada, à titre inamovible.
