His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Finance, pursuant to subsection 19(4) of An Act to Implement Conventions between Canada and Morocco, Canada and Pakistan, Canada and Singapore, Canada and the Philippines, Canada and the Dominican Republic and Canada and Switzerland for the avoidance of double taxation with respect to income tax, hereby directs that a proclamation do issue giving notice that the annexed supplementary convention, signed on October 22, 2010, entitled the Protocol Amending the Convention between the Government of Canada and the Swiss Federal Council for the Avoidance of Double Taxation with respect to Taxes on Income and on Capital, done at Berne on 5 May 1997, came into force on December 16, 2011 and applies in accordance with Article XIII of that supplementary convention.

Sur recommandation du ministre des Finances et en vertu du paragraphe 19(4) de la Loi de mise en œuvre des conventions conclues entre le Canada et le Maroc, le Canada et le Pakistan, le Canada et Singapour, le Canada et les Philippines, le Canada et la République Dominicaine et le Canada et la Suisse, tendant à éviter les doubles impositions en matière d’impôts sur le revenu, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil ordonne que soit prise une proclamation donnant avis que la convention complémentaire ci-jointe, signée le 22 octobre 2010 et intitulée Protocole amendant la Convention entre le Gouvernement du Canada et le Conseil fédéral suisse en vue d’éviter les doubles impositions en matière d’impôts sur le revenu et sur la fortune, faite à Berne le 5 mai 1997, est entrée en vigueur le 16 décembre 2011 et s’applique conformément à son article XIII.
