   His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, hereby

 (a)  pursuant to sections 5 and 12 of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Act, appoints Robert W. Paulson of Ottawa, Ontario, to be Commissioner of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, to hold office during pleasure, and fixes his salary and other employment conditions at the rate set out in the annexed schedule, which salary is within the range ($213,700 - $251,300), effective November 21, 2011; and

 (b)  pursuant to paragraph 6(3)(b) of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Act, authorizes the issue of a Commission under the Great Seal of Canada to Robert W. Paulson.

   Sur recommandation du premier ministre, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil :

 a)  en vertu des articles 5 et 12 de la Loi sur la Gendarmerie royale du Canada, nomme Robert W. Paulson, d’Ottawa (Ontario), au poste de commissaire de la Gendarmerie royale du Canada, à titre amovible, et fixe son traitement et autres conditions d’emploi conformément à l’annexe ci-jointe, lequel traitement se situe dans l’échelle (213 700 $ - 251 300 $), à compter du 21 novembre 2011;

 b)  en vertu de l’alinéa 6(3)b) de la Loi sur la Gendarmerie royale du Canada, autorise l’émission d’une commission sous le grand sceau à Robert W. Paulson.
