Whereas the Chief Justice of the Superior Court of Quebec approved the granting, to the Honourable Richard G. Mongeau, a Judge of that Court, of leave of absence from his judicial duties because of ill-health for a period of six months, from March 1, 2011 to August 31, 2011;

And whereas the Honourable Richard M. Mongeau has requested through the Chief Justice of the Superior Court of Quebec, for a further leave of absence, supported by a medical certificate, until January 31, 2012;

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, pursuant to paragraph 54(1)(b) of the Judges Act, hereby approves of leave of absence being granted to the Honourable Richard G. Mongeau from his judicial duties from September 1, 2011 to January 31, 2012.

Attendu que le juge en chef de la Cour supérieure du Québec a autorisé l’honorable Richard G. Mongeau, juge de cette cour, à s’absenter de ses fonctions judiciaires pour raisons de santé pour une période de six mois, du 1^er mars 2011 au 31 août 2011;

Attendu que l’honorable Richard G. Mongeau a demandé, par l’entremise du juge en chef de la Cour supérieure du Québec, attestation médicale à l’appui, la permission de prolonger son absence jusqu’au 31 janvier 2012,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de la Justice et en vertu de l’alinéa 54(1)b) de la Loi sur les juges, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil autorise l’honorable Richard G. Mongeau à s’absenter de ses fonctions judiciaires du 1^er septembre 2011 au 31 janvier 2012.
