His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Transport, pursuant to section 48 of the Canada Transportation Act, hereby approves that the Minister of Transport enter into grant and contribution agreements in an amount not to exceed a total of $1,000,000 per project for the purpose of implementing the Northern Transportation Adaptation Initiative for projects designed to implement new innovative technologies, advance knowledge and capacity-building, and enhance the resilience of existing and future northern transportation infrastructure to climate change.

Sur recommandation du ministre des Transports et en vertu de l’article 48 de la Loi sur les transports au Canada, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil agrée la conclusion, par le ministre des Transports, des accords de subventions et de contributions d’une somme totale ne dépassant pas 1 000 000 $ par projet, pour la mise en œuvre de l’Initiative d’adaptation du transport dans le Nord pour les projets visant à mettre en œuvre de nouvelles technologies novatrices, à faire progresser les connaissances et, à assurer le renforcement des capacités et à renforcer la résilience des infrastructures de transport existantes et futures dans le Nord à l’égard du changement climatique.
