   His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Industry, pursuant to subsection 6(1) of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council Act, hereby approves the re-election by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Thomas Edward Kierans of Toronto, Ontario, a member of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, as Vice-President of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council.
