His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, hereby authorizes

(a) the Prime Minister or the Minister of Foreign Affairs to sign, on behalf of the Government of Canada, subject to ratification, the Agreement between the Government of Canada and the Government of the United States of America Extending the Softwood Lumber Agreement between the Government of Canada and the Government of the United States of America, as Amended; or

(b) the Minister of Foreign Affairs to execute and issue an Instrument of Full Powers authorizing Edward Fast, Minister for International Trade, Louis Lévesque, Deputy Minister for International Trade, or Gary Doer, Ambassador of Canada to the United States of America, to sign, on behalf of the Government of Canada, subject to ratification, the Agreement between the Government of Canada and the Government of the United States of America Extending the Softwood Lumber Agreement between the Government of Canada and the Government of the United States of America, as Amended.

Sur recommandation du ministre des Affaires étrangères, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil autorise :

a) soit le premier ministre, soit le ministre des Affaires étrangères, à signer, au nom du gouvernement du Canada, sous réserve de ratification, l’Accord entre le gouvernement du Canada et le gouvernement des États-Unis d’Amérique prolongeant l’Accord sur le bois d’œuvre résineux entre le gouvernement du Canada et le gouvernement des États-Unis d’Amérique, dans sa version amendée;

b) soit le ministre des Affaires étrangères à signer et à délivrer un instrument de pleins pouvoirs autorisant Edward Fast, ministre du Commerce international, Louis Lévesque, sous-ministre du Commerce international, ou Gary Doer, ambassadeur du Canada auprès des États-Unis d’Amérique, à signer, au nom du gouvernement du Canada, sous réserve de ratification, l’Accord entre le gouvernement du Canada et le gouvernement des États-Unis d’Amérique prolongeant l’Accord sur le bois d’œuvre résineux entre le gouvernement du Canada et le gouvernement des États-Unis d’Amérique, dans sa version amendée.
