Whereas the Governor in Council is satisfied that, on June 6, 2010, the council of the Paq’tnkek Band has, in a manner consistent with the Agreement, authorized the Agreement to be signed on behalf of the band and is satisfied that the Agreement was signed on behalf of that band on August 18, 2011;

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development, pursuant to subsection 12(1) of the Mi’kmaq Education Act, hereby makes the annexed Order Adding the Paq’tnkek Band to the Schedule to the Mi’kmaq Education Act.

Attendu que le gouverneur en conseil est convaincu que le conseil de la bande de Paq’tnkek a autorisé, le 6 juin 2010, en conformité avec la convention, la signature de celle-ci pour le compte de la bande et que la signature a effectivement eu lieu le 18 août 2011,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre des Affaires indiennes et du Nord canadien et en vertu du paragraphe 12(1) de la Loi sur l’éducation des Mi’kmaq, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil prend le Décret visant à ajouter la bande Paq’tnkek à l’annexe de la Loi sur l’éducation des Mi’kmaq, ci-après.
