Whereas vacancies exist in the officer establishment numbers within the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, the maximum number of which, in each rank, is prescribed by the Treasury Board pursuant to subsection 6(2) of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Act;

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, hereby

(a) pursuant to paragraph 6(3)(a) of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Act, appoints the members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police named in the annexed schedule to the rank of Inspector; and

(b) pursuant to paragraph 6(3)(b) of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Act, authorizes the issue of a Commission under the Great Seal of Canada to the members referred to in paragraph (a).

Attendu qu’il existe des vacances au sein de l’effectif des officiers de la Gendarmerie royale du Canada, dont le nombre maximal de chaque grade est fixé par le Conseil du Trésor en vertu du paragraphe 6(2) de la Loi sur la Gendarmerie royale du Canada,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de la Sécurité publique et de la Protection civile, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil :

a) en vertu de l’alinéa 6(3)a) de la Loi sur la Gendarmerie royale du Canada, nomme au grade d’inspecteur les membres de la Gendarmerie royale du Canada dont le nom figure à l’annexe ci-jointe;

b) en vertu de l’alinéa 6(3)b) de la Loi sur la Gendarmerie royale du Canada, autorise l’émission d’une commission sous le grand sceau du Canada aux membres visés à l’alinéa a).
