   Whereas paragraph 82(3)(a) of the Canada Pension Plan provides that the Governor in Council shall appoint a panel of between one hundred and four hundred persons resident in Canada, of whom at least twenty-five per cent are members of the bar of a province;

   And whereas paragraph 82(3)(c) of the Canada Pension Plan provides that there are members of the panel from every region of Canada;

   Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development, pursuant to section 82 of the Canada Pension Plan, hereby appoints Ian Archibald Murdoch Birnie of Waterford, Ontario, to be a member of the Review Tribunal for the region of Hamilton for a term of three years.

   Attendu que l’alinéa 82(3)a) du Régime de pensions du Canada prévoit que le gouverneur en conseil nomme de cent à quatre cents personnes qui, résidant au Canada, feront partie d’une liste dont au moins vingt-cinq pour cent doivent appartenir à un barreau provincial;

   Attendu que l’alinéa 82(3)c) du Régime de pensions du Canada prévoit qu’il y a, dans cette liste, des représentants de chacune des régions du Canada,

   À ces causes, sur recommandation de la ministre

des Ressources humaines et du Développement des compétences et en vertu de l’artice 82 du Régime de pensions du Canada, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil nomme Ian Archibald Murdoch Birnie, de Waterford (Ontario), membre du tribunal de révision pour la région d’Hamilton pour une période de trois ans.
