                      Whereas the Administrator of the Government of Saskatchewan, the Honourable Edward D. Bayda, Chief Justice of Saskatchewan, will be unable to act from May 27 to June 1, 2003, inclusive, and from July 12 to July 24, 2003, inclusive, and it is therefore expedient that another person be appointed Administrator for those periods;

                      Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Canadian Heritage, hereby:

(a) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Edward D. Bayda as Administrator, effective May 27, 2003;

(b) pursuant to section 67 of the Constitution Act, 1867, appoints the Honourable Thomas C. Wakeling to be Administrator of the Government of Saskatchewan to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective May 27, 2003;

(c) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Thomas C. Wakeling as Administrator, effective June 2, 2003;

(d) pursuant to section 67 of the Constitution Act, 1867, appoints the Honourable Edward D. Bayda to be Administrator of the Government of Saskatchewan to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective June 2, 2003;

(e) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Edward D. Bayda as Administrator, effective July 12, 2003;

(f) pursuant to section 67 of the Constitution Act, 1867, appoints the Honourable Calvin F. Tallis to be Administrator of the Government of Saskatchewan to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective July 12, 2003;

(g) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Calvin F. Tallis as Administrator, effective July 25, 2003; and

(h) pursuant to section 67 of the Constitution Act, 1867, reappoints the Honourable Edward D. Bayda to be during pleasure Administrator of the Government of Saskatchewan, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective July 25, 2003.
