His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, pursuant to section 156 of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, hereby approves

(a) the entry by the Minister of Justice into agreements with the governments of the provinces and territories providing for payments by Canada to the provinces and territories in respect of costs incurred by the provinces and territories for care of and services provided to young persons dealt with under the Act, which agreements are substantially in accordance with the terms and conditions as have been approved by the Treasury Board, for the fiscal years 2006-2007 to 2010-2011; and

(b) that the Minister of Justice enter into agreements with the governments of the provinces and territories providing for payments by Canada to the provinces and territories in respect of costs incurred by the provinces and territories for care of and services provided to young persons dealt with under the Act, substantially in accordance with the annexed terms and conditions.

Sur recommandation du ministre de la Justice et en vertu de l’article 156 de la Loi sur le système de justice pénale pour les adolescents, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil :

a) approuve la conclusion par le ministre de la Justice, avec les gouvernements des provinces et des territoires, d’accords prévoyant le paiement, par le Canada aux provinces et aux territoires, de subventions au titre des dépenses que ceux-ci ont effectuées pour fournir des soins et des services aux adolescents dans le cadre de la loi, lesquels accords sont conformes en substance aux modalités approuvées par le Conseil du Trésor, pour les exercices 2006-2007 à 2010-2011;

b) approuve la conclusion par le ministre de la Justice, avec les gouvernements des provinces et des territoires, d’accords prévoyant le paiement, par le Canada aux provinces et aux territoires, de subventions au titre des dépenses que ceux-ci ont effectuées pour fournir des soins et des services aux adolescents dans le cadre de la loi, lesquels accords sont conformes en substance aux modalités figurant à l’annexe ci-jointe.
